The Dumpsters first season in the Wandsworth Pitch Invasion Premiership
started in shambolic fashion, with 3 defeats from their first games, and
just 1 point courtesy of a highly disputed draw against Waitrose
Wanderers. Despite banging in the goals the team just couldn't defend,
and a crippling lack of organisation and fitness left the side staring
relegation in the face. However, a mid-season player revolt resulted in
a managerial reshuffle, and two successive wins gave the Dumpsters a
chance of survival going into the final game. Despite losing on the
final day, it was just enough, and the team will be hoping for a much
improved outcome in the second consecutive Premiership season. Felix
'Pussy' Baker's awful performances, attitude and severe alcohol problems
lead to him comfortably achieving the title of 'Dick Of The Season',
whilst Spal poaching instincts saw him just scrape the top scorer award,
despite failing to net in the final two games of the season. |
